Alongside our core Devi jagran programmes, we're regularly asked to organise jagran and kirtan evenings dedicated to Khatu Shyam Baba and to Balaji (Hanuman ji) — two devotional traditions with their own distinct bhajan repertoire, tone and pace, quite different from a Mata Ka Jagran. Families who follow these traditions specifically want singers who know this repertoire well, rather than a general jagran singer adapting on the fly, and that's the standard we bring to these bookings.
A Khatu Shyam jagran or kirtan typically centres on bhajans in praise of Baba Shyam, often built up to a high-energy close, and is commonly booked around Khatu Shyam mela season, Ekadashi dates, or as an annual family or community tradition. A Balaji jagran follows a similar format built around Hanuman ji bhajans, frequently requested on Tuesdays and Saturdays or to mark the fulfilment of a mannat.
